CNE Canadian National Exhibition More Than The Midway - Media Coverage

Lets Go To The EX

When many think of the Canadian National Exhibition otherwise known as the CNE or THE EX, images of midway rides and carnival games are the first things to pop in their heads.  We decided to take a different direction when it came to our Media Coverage of the days events at THE EX.

What We Did At The Canadian National Exhibition

We started out by heading over to Reptilia and I have to say I'm glad these guys were behind glass

Next we took the FREE Express Train to get a good idea of the layout.

We stopped by the Hockey Canada Centry Tour Exhibit where we made digital hockey cards and took a turn in the photo booth

Then we LET OUR FANDOM FLAG FLY over at the Direct Energy Centre where we saw Star Wars sculpted in sand and Transformers that were more than meets the eye!

After a quick bite to eat in the Food Building we headed to the Variety Stage to see America's Got Talent Contestant, Ventriloquist Micheal Harrison followed by The Amazing Kreskin

Incase you were wondering, yes Kreskin did find his payment in the audience!

We decided to head over to the CNE Bandshell mid afternoon to see if they bands were doing a sound check and we were happy to find out they were!

But we had no idea what was about to happen next! While watching the bands rehearse the #ShareACokeCanada team came by to let us know we could make a Coke Can with our name on it and there might be a chance to get some extras!

We headed over to take part and guess what? Our cans came out not only with our names but with VIP passes for the concert that night.

What does VIP at a free concert mean? Well for us it meant we got to chill out at the Coca Cola VIP tent! We were served Pizza, Poutine. lots of snacks and all the Coca Cola we could drink!

Throughout the concert great things happened as well. Diane's daughter was pulled up on stage for a Dance off. Then she was able to get a set list and a free t-shirt after the show!

    Wait There's More

To see more of a play by play of our day check out our twitter feed from the day and our Facebook album.
As you can see we had a jam packed day at the CNE but there was so much more to do too! We only covered a small portion of what there is to do at THE EX. Check out what else you can do at The Canadian National Exhibition by visiting posts by other bloggers that attened the CNE!
