Contact Lens Research
Currently the top contact lens research centre in the world is continuing to accomplish great things through research done right here at UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO
The studies are non-invasive and all of our participants are compensated at $20/hr for their time and often get free contact lenses or glasses.
Right they are recruiting 7-11 year olds to participate in a 3yr study
Infant Studies Group
If you’re looking for something new and fun to do with your child, we would love to have you participate in one of our studies! Help us discover how children learn about language and the world around them. Typical studies involve a one time, half hour visit. New Forest in the City Tree Planting
Abbott Court, off Garden Avenue, south of Highway 403, Brantford
The public is again invited to participate in the five year project to create a New Forest in the City of Brantford. Now in the fourth year of the project, the goal is to plant 10,000 native trees and shrubs this spring. When completed, the 26.7 hectare New Forest will have a public accessible walking path. Protecting and managing the Grand

Learn about the role the Grand River Conservation Authority plays in protecting and managing our most precious resource, water in this talk by Dave Schultz, communications manager with the GRCA. This talk is associated with the museum exhibit Jan 30 to May 10 called Ocean Bound that features themed exhibits about watersheds and the ocean, as well as aquatic animals and ecosystems. The exhibit also showcases local connections, created in partnership with the GRCA, Region of Waterloo Water Services, the Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival, and the University of Waterloo Earth Science Museum.

Earth Day Road Toll

Summary:Get your toonies ready this Earth Day and drive through the annual rare Road Toll! It's voluntary, of course, but we encourage the 12,000 cars a day that travel through the rare reserve along Blair Road, to swing in the parking lot and get to know us. We have free coffee in the morning and baked treats in the afternoon. Staff collect donations in change buckets and handout info about rare. It's always nice to see a friendly face, and we keep things moving so if you know anyone that travels the area, encourage them to stop too!
